Pastor

Overview 
Newport Christian Church is a Restoration Movement church on the Oregon coast celebrating 100 years. We are looking for a full time pastor to join our leadership team, assist in providing pastoral care to our church family, and win people to Christ through evangelism and discipleship.
 
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. - Ephesians 4:11-13
 
Duties 
Energetically bring people to a saving knowledge of Christ to grow the Kingdom and Newport Christian Church 
Network with people in the local community to develop relationships. 
Encourage people in their discipleship through example, teaching, and accountability 
Build fruitful relationships with area churches and other ministry-oriented organizations 
Preach on a frequent basis along with the elders 
Shepherd the congregation as a co-elder 
Organize and support church members in facilitating Sunday morning services
 
Qualifications 
Experience growing a church in an cultural environment representative of the West Coast 
Well-founded education within the Restoration Movement 
Proven ability to accurately exegete Scripture for the benefit of the congregation 
Consistent Christian character and lifestyle
 
Compensation 
Housing allowance and salary up to $100K 
Three weeks of paid vacation per year 
Paid ministerial coaching, training, and education
